Michael P. Kelton, P.A.
Mr. Kelton was born and raised in DeLand, Florida, and has proudly called Volusia County home his entire life. He attended Stetson University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration. He continued to Stetson University College of Law and received his Juris Doctorate degree in 2005. He became a member of the Florida Bar in April 2006.
Mr. Kelton began his legal career working in North Palm Beach, Florida, where he gained extensive experience litigating complex medical malpractice, personal injury, and insurance defense cases. His time in South Florida was short-lived though, and in June 2017, he returned to Volusia County to join Paul & Elkind, P.A. as an associate, and would later become a partner in the firm.
During his more than thirteen years with Paul, Elkind, Branz, & Kelton, P.A., he had the opportunity to represent hundreds of clients in thousands of cases, encompassing a wide array of practice areas. During this time Mr. Kelton also served as the attorney for the City of DeLand’s Historic Preservation Board, as well as prosecutor for City ordinance violations.
In 2020, Mr. Kelton founded Kelton Law, P.A., bringing his years of litigation experience and expertise, along with his unwavering dedication to his clients’ success.
